At Visy, we’re committed to operating responsibly across all areas of our business. Our policy framework underpins this commitment.
Our governance framework
The Visy Governance Board oversees, monitors and improves the effectiveness of our governance and compliance framework in all areas including legal and regulatory compliance, health and safety, environment, trade practices and employment obligations.
Modern Slavery Act reporting
As well as caring for the safety and wellbeing of our own employees, we have a responsibility to ensure our suppliers treat their employees well. We will be reporting in line with the Modern Slavery Act on our risk assessment of our supply chain and our own operations, our consultation process with stakeholders, actions to address these risks and measures of effectiveness.
We participate in a range of programs and initiatives that demonstrate our credentials as a responsible business including the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), EcoVadis, Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation, Sedex and Australian Trusted Trader.
We are committed to engaging and working with all suppliers of primary materials to Visy, with the aim of meeting a set of minimum standards relating to the social and employment wellbeing of employees and communities with the supply chain, protection or enhancement of the natural environment where the materials are sourced, and the business integrity of our suppliers.
